In this exclusive 2025 release available only at Pariscom, the renowned French perfume house Reine de Saba presents a fragrance crafted by Habib Al-Suwaidi, the Yemeni perfumer and founder of the house. Salalah pays tribute to the ancient city that once stood at the heart of the Frankincense Trail, blending the soul of its historic past with the elegance of modern perfumery.
The perfumer shares:
"I wanted Salalah to be like the city itself... beginning softly like mist over its mountains, then blooming with the scent of frankincense and flowers in its old souks."
The composition opens with a gentle citrusy bergamot note that offers a soft and refreshing start. This is seamlessly layered with cardamom, evoking a clean, warm impression—reminiscent of Arabic coffee just before it brews.
Then comes a soft pink pepper accent, adding a powdery floral tone with a delicate feminine touch.
The heart of the fragrance unveils Sambac jasmine, radiating a clean white floral aroma. Magnolia follows with its creamy softness, adding a luxurious feminine edge, while orris root (iris) brings a powdery, earthy elegance that deepens the composition.
The base settles into the comforting embrace of cashmeran, offering a refined woody creaminess. This is perfectly balanced by a vanilla note that avoids excessive sweetness, and finally enveloped in a soft white musk that lingers with a clean, silky finish.
